Have you ever had one of those days where you look at the words you’ve spent hours agonizing over and think it’s never going to be good enough?

Or you hold back from sending out that submission or letting people read what you’ve written because you think they’re going to discover that you’re not really a writer?

If so, you’re not alone. Almost every writer, Woman, with her head down and arms in front of her cradling a pile of crumpled up paper.even the really famous ones, experiences doubt and impostor syndrome! Really, what writer hasn’t found themselves eating ice cream out of the pint while sitting on the kitchen floor at some point during a first draft?

Writing is hard. And self-doubt makes it harder.

Self-doubt might just be the #1 reason why most people never write that book that they dream of or finish the draft that they spend so much time working on (or procrastinating to avoid!)

Writer’s doubt can be a dream killer. It can stop you from:

  • Starting that book that’s been in your head for years
  • Finishing the draft that could make a difference in someone’s life
  • Sending out that query letter or submission to get your work into the world
  • Promoting your work in a way that brings you the success you want
  • Feeling good about yourself as a writer and building confidence in your writing skills

Doubt can make writing agonizing.

But, it doesn’t have to. And it doesn’t have to stop you from achieving your dreams of writing and publishing a book.

I’ve been right where you are—mired in the doubt. In fact, I spent most of my writing career there. For almost twenty years and over twenty texts, I ghostwrote nonfiction feeling like the next person to read one of my manuscripts was going to uncover that I’d just been faking it this whole time. When I started writing short fiction a few years ago? Doubt got even worse. I left drafts unfinished; I convinced myself not to send stories out for submission; I found everything to do but write. All because I thought my writing wasn’t good enough… that I wasn’t good enough.

The Creative Process: 1. This is awesome! 2. This is tricky. 3. This is bad. 4. I am bad. 5. This might be fixable. 6. This is awesome.

And then writing, doubt, and I had a little showdown.

I decided that I was done discounting myself and my work. I was tired of doubt making writing miserable and holding me back from achieving the things I wanted to do.

That’s where Delete the Doubt was born.

Now, when doubt happens, I know what to do to keep it from stopping me or my writing. I know the doubt-busting strategies that work for me. Doubt didn't disappear. I just learned how to dodge right around it.

That’s what I’m going to help you discover too!

You can:

  • Change your relationship with doubt so that it doesn’t have power over you
  • Find the doubt-busting strategies that work for you so that when doubt shows up, you can show it the door
  • Feel confident and better about yourself as a writer so that you don’t feel like an impostor anymore
  • Write the book of your dreams. Publish a series. Achieve the writing goals that you have for yourself.

Look, writing advice is a dime a dozen. Most of it works for the person giving it, but not always for the person receiving it. That’s because we all have unique personalities, experiences, and styles. What works for me may not work for you. I designed this course to help you find what works for you. Sure, you’ll hear about what works for me, too, but at the end of the day, you need to discover what is going to help you detour right around that doubt roadblock.

We’ll talk about over fifteen different writer doubt-busting strategies and how to use them. You’ll get the chance to use them, see how they work, and keep the ones that help you.

It’s really that simple.

You can shift your brain, delete the doubt, and enter a new writing you!

What Our Students Have Said

Content is Incredible

This content is incredible... the framework is bigger than just writing. It is applicable to so many people in so many ways.

Use in Any of My Creative Pursuits

I knew that this course would help me with my writing projects but I did not understand how much it would help me with my sewing projects. When I meet with my sewing group, I hear themes of perfectionism and fear of making a mistake throughout our conversations. This course helped me see the self-doubt that prevents us from completing our garment making projects. We sew garments to have clothing that fits us and makes us happy. In that pursuit, we strive for the perfect fit of a garment made of our dream fabric. For me, this creates a paralyzing situation. Self-doubt is a major factor in that. I plan to use the lessons I have learned in this course in any of my creative pursuits where self-doubt creeps into my process.

Personalized Strategies

I loved reading through this course and learning about new ways to look at doubt. I’m excited to try the personalized strategies I learned to manage the doubt and how I can also make it work for me.

Very Effective

The course is great! I can see it being very effective for all kinds of writers and creatives.

Delete the Doubt offers a new approach and perspective for people who struggle with doubt in their creative pursuits that is refreshing.
